My Approach...
I have a genuine curiosity on how architecture affects us as human beings and creates added value, by being more than a physical frame for life, as well as being part of innovative and sustainable solutions to more complex problems. I have always been creatively oriented; therefore, it has been important for me to both expand my competences in relation to integrated building design by obtaining technical aspects of engineering, and to gain a deeper understanding of aesthetic, functional and structural principles.
During my studies, a very rewarding internship at MVRDV and through former work and travel experiences, I have acquired skills in analytical work, concept development, problem solving, 3D- and BIM modeling, visualization and graphic dissemination. These skills, along with my eagerness to broaden my perspective on architecture, has been a great motivation in developing my personal approach to architecture;
An innovative, integrated design approach, that to a large extend is inspired by the Japanese and Nordic sensibility to the surrounding nature and tactile use of materials, as well as the context, climate, light and the absence of it, fused with European pragmatic tendencies.
In my opinion, these are some of the key parameters to achieve holistic, sustainable and haptic, tectonic architecture.
My approach is displayed through various projects on the site or in my portfolio - A new church and cultural institution in Norway, a sustainable housing complex entirely designed with CLT, a new theater in Aalborg, a multi-faith pavilion in China and more.
